WHAT IS RPM

The RPM method (Rapid Prompting Method) is a teaching technique developed to help individuals with autism, especially those with communication difficulties. It was created by Soma Mukhopadhyay, mother of Tito Mukhopadhyay, a young man with severe autism who managed to communicate and express his thoughts through this method

WHAT MAKES THIS METHOD DIFFERENT?

The teacher learns to access the learning channels available to each student (auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic) and adapts the way lessons are presented as needed for each student.

It is an academic method in which the teacher attempts to create a "teacher-student response loop. The trained teacher presents the information, explains the concept and subsequently asks a question, prompting the response through the corresponding step, which varies according to the student's progress.

The rhythm created by this cycle aims to master the student's other behaviors, such as stimuli, OCD and impulses.
