CHANGING LIVES
WHAT IS RPM
The RPM method (Rapid Prompting Method) is a teaching technique developed to help individuals with autism, especially those with communication difficulties. It was created by Soma Mukhopadhyay, mother of Tito Mukhopadhyay, a young man with severe autism who managed to communicate and express his thoughts through this method
WHAT MAKES THIS METHOD DIFFERENT?
The teacher learns to access the learning channels available to each student (auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic) and adapts the way lessons are presented as needed for each student.
It is an academic method in which the teacher attempts to create a "teacher-student response loop. The trained teacher presents the information, explains the concept and subsequently asks a question, prompting the response through the corresponding step, which varies according to the student's progress.
The rhythm created by this cycle aims to master the student's other behaviors, such as stimuli, OCD and impulses.
OUR MISSION
To provide the opportunity for people with autism and other conditions where verbal communication is limited, poor or unreliable, to be trained in this comprehensive education method that will allow, through the growth of skills, not only greater cognitive development but also broader communication.
OUR VISION
To provide each individual with the opportunity to maximize their learning abilities and eventually make communication possible, leading them to achieve the best expression of themselves.
Testimonial
